Establishment of a Dedicated Organization
Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority (acting president Hwang Hakbeom, hereinafter referred to as the Authority) announced on the 28th that it held a 'National Policy Task-Linked Project Briefing' to proactively respond to the new government's national policy tasks and to strengthen implementation capabilities.
At the briefing, 25 new strategic projects were announced in connection with the government's growth strategy, including the creation of an AI smart port ecosystem at Yeosu Gwangyang Port, the establishment of an eco-friendly fuel base for the Arctic route, and the development of an LNG bunkering hub port.
The Authority plans to enhance the execution of Yeosu Gwangyang Port's core projects and secure sustainable future growth engines by conducting proactive analysis of the new government's pledges and policies and discovering projects linked to national policy tasks.
Previously, on the 21st, the Authority established a dedicated organization, the 'Policy Task Force (TF),' to serve as a control tower and strengthen the momentum of projects linked to national policy tasks.
Based on the discovery of national policy task-linked projects and the operation of the TF team, the Authority plans to finalize strategic projects aligned with its management strategy in time for the government's national policy task announcement scheduled for August, and accelerate project implementation.
