During the meeting, students candidly shared their impressions of the skills transmission course. Many expressed that the customized practice sessions and the meticulous guidance from the master ceramists were particularly helpful. They said it was a valuable opportunity to observe the masters' working process up close and learn their know-how, adding, "It went beyond simply passing on skills and provided practical help for personal growth."
The master ceramists in charge of the training also highly praised the students' passion and regarded this program as a meaningful opportunity to impart more in-depth skills. They also took time to discuss the direction of the program's operation together.
As a result of these efforts, two students who completed the course last year have relocated their studios to Yeoju and are continuing their creative activities, while some are actively working with the Yeoju Traditional Ceramics Association. Yeoju City hopes to see such achievements continue this year as well.
Lee Chungwoo, Mayor of Yeoju City, said, "This meeting was a meaningful time for students and masters to understand and encourage each other," adding, "We will continue to pay close attention to the various opinions raised in the educational field so that young ceramists can fully develop their abilities in the field of ceramics in Yeoju."
