Pocheon City Opens "Bigger Happiness Pocheon City Family Center," Full Operations Begin in August

View original imageThe Bigger Happiness Pocheon City Family Center, the only city-run center in Gyeonggi Province, is a social welfare facility established as part of the Living SOC Complex Project. It provides customized services that reflect the needs of various family types and life stages. The center is located at 17-29 Banwolsanseong-ro, Gunae-myeon, within the Pocheon City Bandabi Sports Center.
The center offers universal and comprehensive family support services for all families, regardless of family type or relationship. These services include family relationships, family care, family life, and community linkage. In particular, it will actively support the stable settlement and healthy family life of multicultural families.
The center has created spaces of various sizes and purposes to provide integrated services encompassing counseling, education, care, and communication. Specifically, it is equipped with a family counseling room for professional family counseling, a multipurpose family exchange and communication space for education and meetings, and a shared childcare facility that serves as a creative play area for children and a place for parents and children to communicate and provide care.
With full-scale program operations scheduled to begin in August, the center is accelerating its business planning and program preparations. Starting from August 2, it will hold three communication meetings for marriage immigrants and multicultural families, aiming to operate demand-based customized programs.
In addition, the center plans to sequentially operate the following: a family counseling room, a shared childcare facility, parent education and caregiver capacity-building programs, couple role support education, customized Korean language education and capacity-building programs for marriage immigrants, bilingual education and basic learning for children of multicultural families, and social exchange promotion programs for single-person households.
