Uijeongbu City Accepting Nominations for Uijeongbu City Culture Award Candidates Until August 14
Uijeongbu City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Donggeun) will be accepting nominations for candidates for the 38th Uijeongbu City Culture Award from July 28 to August 14.
The Uijeongbu City Culture Award is presented annually in five categories (▲Academics·Education ▲Culture·Arts ▲Sports Promotion ▲Service and Filial Piety ▲Regional Development) to honor individuals who have enhanced the city's reputation and made significant contributions to the development of the local community.
The award recipients, selected through a rigorous screening process among the nominated candidates, will be honored at the 54th Citizens' Day Commemoration Ceremony in October.
Eligible candidates include those who have resided in Uijeongbu City for at least five years, those whose registered domicile is Uijeongbu City, or those who have been active for at least five years in local institutions, organizations, or companies. Applicants must submit a letter of recommendation from an authorized recommender in the relevant field, or a recommendation form signed by at least 50 citizens who are registered residents of Uijeongbu City as of the announcement date, along with supporting documents, to the Uijeongbu City Department of Culture and Arts. However, past recipients of the Culture Award or individuals who have caused social controversy are excluded from nomination.
