The approval rating for U.S. President Donald Trump's administration has dropped to its lowest level since the launch of his second term.
According to The Hill, an online media outlet, on the 25th (local time), a Gallup poll conducted among 1,002 American adults from July 7 to July 21 showed that 37% gave a positive assessment of President Trump's job performance. This figure represents a decline of about 3 percentage points compared to last month’s 40%.
The group that showed the largest drop in approval was independents with no party affiliation. Among independents, 29% gave a positive assessment of President Trump’s job performance, a decrease of 7 percentage points from last month. At the beginning of President Trump’s administration, the approval rating among independents was 46%.
Among Democratic supporters, President Trump’s approval rating has remained in the low single digits. In this survey, 2% of Democratic supporters gave a positive assessment of President Trump’s job performance.
