Therefore, a proactive and swift response is essential.
The city will urgently supply 14 tons of immune boosters, including vitamin supplements, to approximately 760 livestock farms raising animals sensitive to high temperatures, such as chickens and dairy cows. This measure aims to strengthen the immunity of livestock exhausted by the heat wave and alleviate heat stress, and it is expected to provide practical help in preventing damage to livestock farms.
Kim Hyuntaek, head of the Livestock Division of Yeoju City, stated, "As the heat wave has continued before and after the rainy season, it is important to respond quickly to minimize damage to livestock farms." He also urged, "Please ensure timely administration of the supplied immune boosters, and actively implement measures to lower the temperature inside and outside livestock barns, such as operating misting facilities, spraying water on barn roofs, installing shading nets, and securing ventilation paths."
