This activity was the council's second on-site response, following their recovery efforts at the strawberry collection center in Jisan, Geon-guk-dong, on July 21.
The city council is supporting the swift recovery of daily life for residents affected by the recent heavy rainfall in Gwangju, which caused flooding in homes and damage to various facilities.
On this day, Council Member Park Pilsun and 12 staff members from the council's secretariat visited the affected site, clearing away piles of earth and debris behind damaged homes and working hard to remove and tidy up soil around the access roads.
Park Pilsun, who participated in the recovery efforts, stated, "I joined the recovery site hoping that many small acts of help will come together to create great hope," and added, "I will continue to do my part to ensure the safety of citizens and help restore daily life."
