On July 24, Hanwha Ocean invited three companies that were selected as the top partners in the "2024 Comprehensive Evaluation of External Partners" conducted in the first half of this year at its Geoje plant, presenting them with plaques of appreciation and incentives, and held a luncheon meeting.

The company then selects outstanding partners based on the evaluation results to express its gratitude.
The recognition of outstanding partners is implemented to encourage healthy competition among external partners and to achieve the shared goals of mutual growth through a cooperative model between Hanwha Ocean and its partners, as well as the development of the domestic shipbuilding industry.
Kyung-Yeol Gong, CEO of Gideok Industry, who attended the award ceremony, stated, "I am very pleased to be selected as the top partner in the process of growing and developing together with Hanwha Ocean," and added, "As true partners who share ideas and explore the future together, I would like to express my gratitude for Hanwha Ocean's partnership."
Previously, in May, Hanwha Ocean also invited representatives and officials from 13 partner companies to its headquarters to hold a meeting aimed at encouraging their efforts and strengthening mutual cooperation.
The partner invitation meeting included a tour of the Hanwha Ocean PR center, an on-site tour of the Geoje plant, and a luncheon, providing an opportunity to share the company's management status and future vision, listen to the concerns of partners, and discuss ways to cooperate, all aimed at fostering a sustainable partnership in the shipbuilding and marine industry.
In September, Hanwha Ocean plans to invite around ten external partners for a similar meeting, and at the end of the year, will select and recognize the top partner companies.
In particular, Hanwha Ocean continues to serve as an industry role model by consistently pursuing various sustainable mutual cooperation policies for joint growth with its partners. Since 2021, the company has contributed more than 1 billion KRW annually to a joint labor welfare fund, and is currently contributing 2.6 billion KRW to the 2025 Joint Labor Welfare Fund. Since last year, Hanwha Ocean has also been supporting long-term employment of partner company workers through an employee hope savings project worth approximately 11 billion KRW.
Additionally, in February of this year, Hanwha Ocean signed a mutual cooperation agreement with Gyeongnam Province for the sustainable growth of the shipbuilding industry and is expanding its support policies beyond direct financial aid to include technology development and management consulting, by promoting partner support projects and free consulting support projects.
Im Wonbae, Executive Vice President in charge of mutual cooperation at Hanwha Ocean, said, "External partners are reliable companions and key players in our growth, and together we will take on challenges and shape the future." He added, "Thanks to your professionalism, dedication, and relentless innovation, Hanwha Ocean has been able to maintain its competitiveness and continue to grow in the global market."
