Goyang Special City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Donghwan) announced on the 24th that it has provided disaster relief supplies worth approximately 30 million won to support Gapyeong County, which suffered significant damage due to heavy rainfall.

View original imageSince 2012, Goyang City and Gapyeong County have maintained a joint cooperation agreement to support each other and minimize disaster damage in the event of an emergency, and this support system remains in place to this day.
Accordingly, the city delivered emergency relief supplies to support the residents of Gapyeong County who are currently living in temporary shelters after suffering severe damage.
The relief supplies consisted of emergency relief kits, which include items such as toothbrushes, soap, towels, and toilet paper, as well as cooking relief kits containing gas stoves, mess kits, and scrubbers.

He added, "I pay tribute to the volunteer organizations and military and police personnel who are working tirelessly on site to restore the flood damage, even in the heatwave that followed the torrential rain."
