Haman County Selected for 2025 National Movie Viewing Promotion Support Project
"Haman Small Cinema Offers Up to 6,000 Won Off Movie Tickets"
Haman County in South Gyeongsang Province announced on July 24 that the "Haman Small Cinema" has been selected for the "2025 National Movie Viewing Promotion Support Project" organized by the Korean Film Council under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
This project aims to revitalize the Korean film industry, which has stagnated since the COVID-19 pandemic, and to promote cultural and leisure activities among the public. Through a total budget support of 20 million won, Haman Small Cinema will provide discounted movie tickets to up to approximately 3,300 county residents.

Since the project may end early if the budget is exhausted, the county plans to actively promote and inform residents from the outset.
Cho Geunje, the governor of Haman County, stated, "Through this project, I hope our residents can enjoy cultural activities at a lower cost and that our local cinema regains its vitality. We will continue to develop various policies to expand cultural opportunities for our residents."
Meanwhile, Haman County is also expanding the "Senior Citizens' Cinema Outing Support Project" to improve cultural welfare for the elderly. By increasing the related budget and the number of operating sessions, seniors in the county are able to enjoy a movie at the nearby small cinema, which has received a positive response from the community.
