Boseong County's Kim Jin Wins Grand Prize at Jeonnam Forest Education Competition
Praised for Vivid Communication and Ecological Sensitivity
Boseong County in Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim Cheolwoo) announced on July 24 that it held an award ceremony on July 23 for Kim Jin, a forest interpreter affiliated with Jeonnam Forest Love, who won the grand prize at the '2025 Jeollanam-do Forest Education Competition'.
This competition brought together 24 teams and a total of 150 outstanding interpreters from across Jeollanam-do. It is a professional forest education contest that comprehensively evaluates forest interpretation techniques, communication skills, and creativity.

View original imageKim Jin, who is active at the Jeamsan Natural Recreation Forest, received high praise from the panel of judges for his vivid communication and deep ecological sensitivity during an ecological interpretation demonstration themed 'Dragonflies Flying', and proved his advanced interpretation skills by winning the prestigious grand prize.
The county operates customized forest education programs for various groups, including children, youth, and families, mainly at Jeamsan Natural Recreation Forest and the Children's Forest Experience Center.
In particular, by linking with local kindergartens and daycare centers, the county is continuously expanding regular experiential education, nature play activities, and content that reflects seasonal ecological characteristics, receiving strong positive feedback.
In addition, a forest instructor specializing in early childhood education is stationed on site to provide safe and creative programs tailored to young children, thereby further enhancing the quality of forest education.
A county official stated, "Winning the grand prize this time is an achievement that externally demonstrates Boseong County's expertise and competitiveness in forest interpretation," and added, "We will continue to nurture outstanding talent and further strengthen forest education and related programs."
