View original imageThe Community Chest of Korea (Chairman Kim Byungjoon) announced on July 24 that it is carrying out a nationwide summer heat support project worth approximately 10.4 billion KRW to help vulnerable groups stay cool and healthy during the extreme heat.
This year, the project has been expanded to about 10.4 billion KRW, an increase of approximately 4 billion KRW compared to last year's 6.4 billion KRW. Through the central office and 17 regional branches across the country, support will be provided to about 95,000 people from low-income and vulnerable groups in welfare blind spots, as well as 1,948 facilities such as local children's centers and social welfare institutions.

View original imageThis year, a total of 137 support projects will be implemented, including the "Healthy Summer Support Project" and the "Heat Wave Preparedness Housing Environment Improvement Project." Through local governments and distribution partner organizations nationwide, customized support will be provided in the form of cooling goods such as electric fans, cooling expenses, daily necessities, nutritious food, and summer heat kits.
