This export consultation meeting has been organized to proactively respond to changes in the global trade environment and to promote overseas market entry for local small and medium-sized export companies.
Eligible applicants are small and medium-sized enterprises headquartered or operating factories in Jeonnam Province that manufacture or distribute their own brand products.
Companies wishing to participate must submit an application form and product introduction materials in English (or the local language) through the Jeonnam Export Information Network by August 14. Up to 100 companies will be selected, and the consultation meeting will be operated after a pre-matching process between the applying companies and overseas buyers.
The event is co-hosted by Jeonnam Province and the Overseas Koreans Agency. Amid global instability such as the Suez Canal crisis and the prolonged Russia-Ukraine war, it is expected to help companies move beyond a US, Japan, and China-centered export structure by pioneering emerging markets and securing alternative export channels.
The event will be held in conjunction with the 2025 Namdo International Gourmet Industry Expo in October. With more than 1.5 million domestic and international visitors expected to attend the expo, participating companies will have the opportunity to promote their products to expo visitors and buyers, directly gauge market reactions, and achieve tangible export results.
Side events such as the World Korean Business Forum, industry and cultural tour programs, and tours of the Namdo International Gourmet Industry Expo will also be held, offering opportunities to expand global business networks and enhance brand promotion.
Shin Hyungon, Director of International Cooperation at Jeonnam Province, said, "With the growing uncertainty in the export environment due to the strengthening of global protectionism, we hope this consultation meeting will serve as a breakthrough for Jeonnam companies to enter new markets," adding, "We will continue to provide strategic support to pioneer overseas markets and strengthen export competitiveness."
For more information on participation and application for the consultation meeting, please contact the International Cooperation Office of Jeonnam Province or the Jeonnam Small and Medium Business Job Economy Promotion Agency.
