Strengthening Citizen Safety and Hygiene Management After Heavy Rainfall
Chairman Choi Hojeong of the Seoul Metropolitan Council visited the Jamwon Hangang Park Swimming Pool on the 23rd, as a heatwave followed heavy rainfall, and the facility was expected to see a surge in visitors. View original imageChairman Choi, together with officials from the Seoul Future Hangang Headquarters and swimming pool management staff, inspected the safety of the pool's structures, electrical and mechanical equipment, the status of emergency medical equipment and medical staff deployment, water quality management, and the arrangement and working system of safety personnel.
The inspection focused on the safety of families, especially children, by checking heatstroke prevention equipment and emergency response systems, facility hygiene and water quality management, and the facility's preparedness for the possible inflow of debris and foreign substances caused by heavy rain.
Chairman Choi emphasized, "We must ensure that citizens visiting the Hangang swimming pools can enjoy themselves with peace of mind, leaving no gaps in our response," and urged, "Please do your utmost to prevent even a single safety accident through thorough facility inspections and swift responses."
