KICPA to Hold '1st AI Innovation Audit Certification Forum' on the 30th
The Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants (KICPA) announced on the 24th that it will hold the '1st Artificial Intelligence (AI) Innovation Audit Certification Forum' as a webinar on the 30th.
This forum will be held under the theme of 'The Current Status of AI Technology Utilization in the Domestic Audit Industry and the Role of the KICPA.' Professors Jung Taejin and Na Hyunjong from Hanyang University will deliver keynote presentations, reviewing the adoption of AI technology in the audit industry and exploring future response strategies for the KICPA.
In the subsequent comprehensive discussion, Professor Kim Kiyoung of Myongji University will serve as the moderator, with digital partners from accounting firms, as well as experts from the corporate sector, academia, and regulatory agencies participating as panelists.
Choi Woonyeol, President of the KICPA, stated, "This forum is a meaningful opportunity to examine the impact of AI technology on the field of audit and to discuss how our industry can embrace and develop these changes together." He added, "The introduction of AI technology is expected to further enhance auditors' expertise and digital capabilities, and serve as a turning point in establishing a trusted audit system."
