Synergy IB Investment Launches AI Transformation and Open Innovation Platform 'Synerbridgy'... First Seminar for Busan Manufacturing Companies
Synergy IB Investment, a new technology business finance company under the Specialized Credit Finance Business Act, announced on the 24th that it has launched the open innovation planning platform 'Synerbridgy: SYNERBRIDGY' and will support an open innovation ecosystem connecting AI and digital transformation, as well as startups, mid-sized companies, and large corporations.
Synergy IB Investment is the first domestic new technology business finance company to also operate as an accelerator. Together with its affiliate Synergy Investment Advisory, it has invested a cumulative total of over 2 trillion won in more than 500 small and medium-sized enterprises and mid-sized companies. In this process, the company has not limited itself to simple capital investment, but has provided various forms of support for the substantial growth of companies, including business restructuring, governance improvement, DX/AI transformation, and new industry linkage.
In particular, Synergy IB Investment is actively investing in national strategic technologies and the top 10 super-gap industries, including AI technology, through the 101 billion won 'Synergy IB Coexistence Innovation New Technology Investment Association,' in which highly credible financial institutions such as IBK Financial Group participated as investors last year.
Based on this, Synergy IB Investment has strategically invested in companies such as Alchera, Obzen, and SGA Solutions, which are commercializing generative AI, LLM-based solutions, and DX transformation solutions to help realize the goal of making Korea one of the top three AI powerhouses. In addition, at the beginning of last year, the company recruited additional reviewers with backgrounds as patent attorneys to systematically analyze the technological capabilities of AI-related companies.
The 'Synerbridgy: SYNERBRIDGY' platform aims to go beyond event-based open innovation connecting startups and large corporations, by creating a practical ecosystem that links companies and technologies of various sizes within the region based on demand, and encompasses investment and corporate finance support for joint business discovery and entry into new industries.
As the first initiative of the Synerbridgy platform, Synergy IB Investment, in collaboration with Busan Metropolitan City and Busan Technopark, will hold the 'Manufacturing Con X SYNERBRIDGY: 1st Busan pOInt' seminar (Manufacturing Con Open Innovation Forum) for manufacturing companies in Busan at the Signiel Busan Ballroom on this day.
This event will be attended by Mayor Park Hyungjun, and will include a certificate presentation ceremony for the six companies newly selected this year for the 'Busan-Style Anchor Company Fostering Support Project' aimed at innovation and renewed growth in the local manufacturing industry. The six companies are Moflat, Ilju GNS, Sunbo Industries, Asems, Hyosung Electric, and Chokwang Paint.
At the 1st Busan pOInt seminar, the event will begin with a presentation by Choi Jinyoung, Executive Director at Samjong KPMG, on the topic of 'Value Creation Strategies for Manufacturing Companies through AI Transformation.' Experts in open innovation from large corporations and public institutions will also participate to share strategies that can become new growth engines for manufacturing companies.
Synergy IB Investment plans to use the 'Synerbridgy: SYNERBRIDGY' platform to establish a demand-based linkage ecosystem for regional industries and contribute to building a foundation for the joint growth of small and medium-sized enterprises and mid-sized companies.
