Yeongcheon Opens "Hwarang Kids Water Bomb" for Free... Summer Water Playground at Hwarang Folklore Village Now Operating
Yeongcheon City announced that starting on July 26, it will operate the "Hwarang Kids Water Bomb" children's water playground at the large parking lot of Hwarang Folklore Village.
This year, the city plans to go beyond simple facility operation by offering a variety of programs such as water gun games, a Kids DJ performance, and a bubble zone, further enhancing the festival atmosphere and providing even more enjoyment for families visiting the site.

View original imageThe water playground will be open every weekend until August 24, and admission is free.
The operating hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The day is divided into two sessions (10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and 2:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.), with a limit on the number of participants per session.
When entering the water playground, safety equipment such as hats, swimsuits, aqua shoes, and life jackets must be worn. Operation of the playground may be restricted in case of rain or other circumstances.
Choi Kimoon, Mayor of Yeongcheon, stated, "This year's Hwarang Folklore Village children's water playground offers a variety of hands-on programs so that children can fully enjoy themselves in a festive atmosphere," adding, "Most importantly, we will prioritize safety so that visitors can use the facility with peace of mind."
Meanwhile, Hwarang Folklore Village operates a range of facilities and programs for children, including the indoor kids cafe Hwarang Learning Center, a 4D theater, and an archery experience center. The village attracts many tourists as a place that can be enjoyed year-round.
