Southeast Regional Radiation Medicine Center (Director: Lee Changhun) has demonstrated excellence throughout the entire process of pneumonia diagnosis and treatment by receiving the highest rating, Grade 1, in the 'Pneumonia Appropriateness Assessment' conducted by the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service.
In this assessment, the center achieved a comprehensive score of 99.3 points, significantly surpassing both the overall average (82.9 points) and the average for its category (92.2 points).
The assessment was conducted at 599 hospitals nationwide (including 46 tertiary general hospitals, 304 general hospitals, and 249 hospitals) and targeted patients aged 18 or older who were hospitalized for pneumonia between October 2023 and March 2024.
Southeast Regional Radiation Medicine Center received consistently high scores across all major evaluation indicators, including the rate of oxygen saturation testing within 24 hours of hospital arrival, the use rate of severity assessment tools, the prescription rate of sputum culture tests, and the rate of appropriate antibiotic administration within 8 hours. This recognized the center's patient-centered, prompt, and systematic care system.
