Daejeon Transportation Corporation (President Yeon Guyang) installed a real-time electromagnetic wave meter at City Hall Station on Line 1 of the urban railway on the 22nd and made electromagnetic wave data within the station available to the public.
This measure aims to alleviate public anxiety about electromagnetic waves generated by digital environments such as mobile communication base stations (3G, 4G, 5G) and indoor Wi-Fi within the urban railway, and to create a safe electromagnetic environment for both passengers and employees of the urban railway.
The real-time electromagnetic wave meter will be installed at all 22 stations of the Daejeon urban railway, starting with City Hall Station, and anyone can check real-time information through displays inside the stations.
Yeon Guyang, President of Daejeon Transportation Corporation, stated, "Daejeon Transportation Corporation will continue to build a fast and convenient digital environment within the urban railway, while also alleviating public concerns about electromagnetic waves, to create a smart and safe urban railway environment suitable for the digital era."
