"Announcing Bid for Third Term as Superintendent Next Year"
Kang Eunhee, the Superintendent of Education for Daegu and the current president of the National Council of Provincial and Metropolitan Superintendents of Education, stated on July 22, "By around 2032, it will be fully possible to implement an absolute grading system for high school academic records."
On this day, at 7:30 a.m., during the 'Asia Forum 21' invitational discussion held at Daegu Art Park in Nam-gu, Daegu?a gathering of mid-career journalists from the Daegu region?Superintendent Kang said, "The council recently submitted a proposal to the government and the Ministry of Education for a college admissions system reform centered on absolute grading for high school records. By monitoring issues such as grade inflation and preparing for six to seven years, we believe it will be feasible to introduce absolute grading for high school records with the goal of 2032."

When universities select students, there should be a system that allows them to give additional points to the types of students they are seeking. Only by doing so can we move toward a more progressive society."
Superintendent Kang also said, "Educational programs being promoted at schools should continue regardless of changes in administration. Although it was a long time ago, survival swimming programs lost their special grants when the administration changed. We also do not know what will happen in the future to Neulbom, which was actively promoted by the previous government."
Kang Eunhee stated, "Uninterrupted education in Daegu is necessary," and expressed her intention to run for a third term as Daegu Superintendent of Education in next year's local elections.
Kang Eunhee further commented, "Although there are many education-related organizations and institutions that have relocated to Daegu, there is little close cooperation. What have these public institutions contributed to the local community since coming to Daegu? What have they done together with the community?" She emphasized the need to revitalize education-related public institutions.
Kang Eunhee also said, "When teachers at schools have their authority infringed upon, they often yield simply because the other party is a parent or a student. Of course, colleagues and school staff provide support, and protection systems are in place," urging, "Please do not hesitate to ask for help."
