Gwangju Science Museum to Hold Special Brain Science Exhibition for Summer Vacation
Special Exhibition Hall Open Until September 21
The National Gwangju Science Museum announced on July 22 that it will hold a special exhibition on brain science, titled "Amazing Brain World," in its special exhibition hall from July 24 to September 21. This exhibition broadly covers topics ranging from the structure of the brain, its applications in daily life, to its convergence with future technologies.
The exhibition is divided into three zones: "Humans and the Brain," "The Brain and Daily Life," and "Brain Health and the Future." In the Epilogue Zone, visitors can participate in hands-on activities by creating and connecting neurons themselves.
The "Humans and the Brain" zone introduces the basics of brain science, focusing on the structure and functions of the brain. The "Brain and Daily Life" zone is designed to allow visitors to experience various functions of the brain, such as concentration, emotions, and movement, in different ways. There are contents that let visitors check their concentration through brainwave measurements or visualize their imagination. Exhibits that explore the brain's role in emotion regulation, as well as the "Brain Playground" featuring puzzles, mazes, and other interactive elements, are also available.
The "Brain Health and the Future" zone presents the latest achievements in brain research and explores the future of brain science in combination with artificial intelligence. The exhibition includes immersive displays using realistic content, along with actual research cases such as brain organoids. For more detailed information about the exhibition, visitors can refer to the Gwangju Science Museum website.
