Gyeonggi-do to Host "Feathers and Moss" Traveling Exhibition at Eight Public Libraries in the Province
Gyeonggi-do will host a traveling picture book exhibition ahead of the opening of the Gyeonggi Provincial Library in October.
From July 22 to October 1, Gyeonggi-do announced that it will hold the "Feathers and Moss" traveling picture book exhibition at eight public libraries within the province, featuring works that convey the value of nature and environmental sensitivity.
This exhibition will showcase original illustrations from picture books by four Korean artists who have been recognized at the Bratislava Illustration Biennale (BIB) in Slovakia.
The participating artists are: ▲ Noh Inkyung ("The Elephant Uncle and 100 Drops of Water"), ▲ Lee Myeongae ("Plastic Island"), ▲ Cho Eunyoung ("Run Toto"), and ▲ Lee Gihun ("Tin Bear").
Each work addresses themes such as the climate crisis, nature and life, and the coexistence of humans and animals.
Exhibition tours will be led by local residents who have completed the "Picture Book Docent Training Program."
In addition, to allow visitors to experience picture books up close, there will be ongoing seasonal hands-on programs such as fan coloring, as well as workshops with artist Song Mincheol.
