Caution is advised, as the heat may feel even more intense in indoor and outdoor workplaces, rice paddies and fields, and on roads compared to official weather observations.
According to the Gwangju Regional Meteorological Administration, the region will be on the edge of the North Pacific High on this day. The morning low is forecast to be between 22 and 26 degrees Celsius, while the daytime high is expected to range from 30 to 34 degrees Celsius.
Waves in the seas off the west and south coasts are expected to be around 1 meter, and the concentration of ultrafine dust is forecast to remain at a 'good' level.
An official from the meteorological administration said, "Please be especially careful, as the perceived temperature in indoor and outdoor workplaces, rice paddies and fields, and on roads may be higher than in areas equipped with weather instruments."
