Customized Employment Support for Youth on the Rise
The Dong-A University Career Plus Center (Director Shin Yongtaek) has joined forces with the Busan Seo-gu Mental Health Welfare Center (Director Moon Eunsu) to establish a mental health and career support system for local youth and vulnerable job seekers.
The two institutions recently signed a memorandum of understanding and agreed to jointly operate a career and employment support system utilizing mental health services.
They plan to provide practical employment outcomes for young people and vulnerable job seekers experiencing psychological difficulties during the job search process, through psychological counseling, career coaching, and customized programs.
Located in Chungmu-dong, Seo-gu, Busan, the Busan Seo-gu Mental Health Welfare Center is a public institution that carries out a variety of mental health and welfare projects, including suicide prevention, mental health for children and adolescents, and management of people with severe mental illnesses. The center has served as a regional hub in the field of mental health.
Shin Yongtaek, Director of the Dong-A University Career Plus Center, stated, "This collaboration, which links mental health and career support, is a new type of employment support model," adding, "We will expand partnerships with various organizations so that not only students but also all local youth can benefit."
