Under the agreement, the two institutions will strengthen cooperation in various areas, including: supporting the transition to a digital campus; promoting the use of the Dongbaekjeon local currency; expanding financial convenience for faculty, staff, and international students; and providing financial support for university-industry cooperation companies.
In particular, BNK Financial Group plans to introduce the 'Campus Lock' mobile-only smart campus platform for university students at Dong-Eui Science University in collaboration with BNK System. 'Campus Lock' is a platform that integrates mobile student ID, electronic attendance, academic administration, and community features into a single app. It is already in operation at Daedong University, Dong-A University, and Ulsan University.
Through this agreement, Dong-Eui Science University students will not only benefit from an improved digital learning environment but will also gain access to BNK’s unique regionally linked content such as 'Gourmet Busan' and 'Life' via the 'Campus Lock' app.
In addition, the two parties agreed to actively cooperate in promoting the Dongbaekjeon Citizen Platform, which is being pursued by the Busan Metropolitan Government. Dong-Eui Science University faculty and students will use the Busan Bank Dongbaekjeon card, and Busan Bank will support convenient account opening and card issuance, thereby contributing to the activation of the local economic circulation.
Furthermore, Busan Bank plans to expand the scope of cooperation by offering customized financial products for faculty and staff, supporting account opening and management for international students, and providing policy fund guidance and tailored financial services for university-industry cooperation companies.
Bang Seongbin, President of Busan Bank, stated, "It is very meaningful to work together with Dong-Eui Science University, a leading vocational university in Busan," and added, "Busan Bank will continue to expand its cooperation system with local universities and will persistently pursue various programs to nurture young talent and revitalize the regional economy."
