Bucheon City Signs 'New Deal Policy Economic Vitality' Agreement with Eight Construction Companies Including DL E&C
Bucheon City in Gyeonggi Province has signed a business agreement for the 'Bucheon-style New Deal Policy Economic Vitality' with eight construction companies including DL E&C, taking steps to boost the local economy.
The signing ceremony, held on July 18, was attended by Jo Yongik, Mayor of Bucheon, as well as representatives from DL E&C, Korea Engineering Consultants Corporation, Geumhwa Jeongsu, Korea Gas Technology Corporation, Lotte Construction, Ssangyong E&C, Kumho E&C, and Ilsin Construction, all of which have construction sites within the region.
The participating companies agreed to prioritize the use of local businesses, equipment, and materials throughout the entire life cycle of buildings (design, construction, maintenance, and demolition), and to actively hire local workers to contribute to job creation and the revitalization of the local economy.
The city plans to share data on the status of local companies, workforce, equipment, and materials, and will provide administrative support to ensure this information can be used efficiently.

Bucheon City aims to establish a work environment free from wage arrears and will maintain ongoing communication to ensure that this agreement leads to tangible results, rather than being a one-off event.
