30% Tuition Discount for Citizens... Busan City and Busan Digital University Collaborate
The Busan Metropolitan Government is partnering with Busan Digital University to expand lifelong learning opportunities for citizens by offering a 30% reduction in tuition fees.
On July 20, the city announced that it had signed an educational cooperation agreement with Busan Digital University (President Choi Wonil) on July 15. Under this agreement, citizens who are registered residents of Busan and enroll at the university will receive a 30% discount on regular semester tuition fees.
This agreement aims to improve access to higher education, and the same tuition reduction will be provided to 78 citizens who applied for admission as freshmen or transfer students during the recruitment period for the second semester of the 2025 academic year (June 1 to July 15).
Busan Digital University currently offers a total of 16 departments, including Business Administration, Counseling Psychology, and Computer Engineering. The university was recently selected for the "2025 Cyber University Digital Education Environment Advancement Support Project," organized by the Ministry of Education and the Korea Education and Research Information Service. As a result, the university is also working to introduce a digital education platform based on artificial intelligence (AI) and extended reality (XR).
