View original imageAs heavy rain continues for several days, six casualties have been reported in the Gyeongnam region.
According to the Gyeongnam Fire Headquarters, as of 4:20 p.m. on July 19, three people were found dead after being buried in Sancheong-eup, Sancheong-gun, two people were found in cardiac arrest, and three people remain missing.
It has been determined that they became trapped when soil and debris from a landslide covered their homes.
The National Fire Agency issued a nationwide fire mobilization order at 1:00 p.m. on this day, and Sancheong-gun issued the first-ever evacuation order for all residents in its history.
Fire authorities are continuing search operations for the missing individuals who were buried, as well as rescue efforts for those in need of assistance.
