On July 18, Kang Yujeong, spokesperson for the Presidential Office, stated at a briefing in Yongsan, "As of the application deadline yesterday, the competition rate reached 605 to 1 for men and 331 to 1 for women."
The Youth Affairs Officer, under the Office for National Unity at the Presidential Office, is responsible for tasks such as developing youth policies, improving related systems, and operating youth participation platforms. Two individuals?one man and one woman?aged between 19 and 34 will be hired for this Grade 5 special appointment position.
Kang explained, "An external evaluation committee, composed of experts and youth activists, will conduct a fair review of the youth policy proposals submitted by the applicants. Successful candidates will be individually notified of their document screening results on July 24, and on July 31, a presentation interview will be held with both the evaluation committee and a 50-member public participation panel."
Kang further mentioned, "The public participation panel, which will question and evaluate the applicants, will be openly recruited from among young people through the Youth Talent Database website for two days starting July 22."

Kang also stated, "All policy proposals submitted this time will be thoroughly reviewed by the Office for Government Policy Coordination and related ministries, and we will work to ensure that they can be reflected in actual policies."
