Korean Red Cross Enters Emergency Operations to Aid Flood Victims

View original imageThe Korean Red Cross (President Kim Cheolsoo) announced that, starting on July 17, it has entered emergency operations to support flood victims in the Chungcheong and southern regions, and is conducting emergency relief activities in the areas of Chungnam, Gwangju, Jeonnam, Gyeongbuk, and Gyeongnam.
As of 6:00 p.m. on July 17, the Korean Red Cross urgently provided relief supplies to quickly ensure a minimum standard of living for the disaster victims, including 221 shelters, 617 emergency relief kits, 100 blankets, 75 mats, and 18 emergency food kits. In evacuation centers in Dangjin and Yesan, disaster meals for 300 people and disaster psychological support (PSS) activities were also provided.
