This comes just one day after service was suspended on certain sections due to the flooding of Sangmu Station's concourse.
The resumption of operations was made possible after drainage and removal of debris at the affected stations were completed. However, some convenience facilities within Sangmu Station, such as escalators and elevators, will remain unavailable until thorough safety inspections are conducted.
Previously, on the afternoon of July 17, Gwangju Transportation Corporation had suspended train operations at six stations between Hwajeong Station and Airport Station, as well as three stations between Gwangju Songjeong Station and Pyeongdong Station, and advised citizens to use alternative transportation such as city buses.
