The Daejeon Lifelong Learning Center has organized the Dream, Love, Happiness Cultural Arts Stage performances from this month through December, presenting a diverse range of content such as music, dance, theater, and puppet shows in a total of 20 annual performances. In the first half of the year, seven performances were successfully completed, attracting 2,445 student and parent audience members, and receiving an enthusiastic response.
In particular, the performances scheduled for the second half of the year are expected to offer students the opportunity to enjoy a rich cultural experience through special content tailored to their interests, such as fusion Korean traditional music, puppet shows, and dance.
Among these, the July performance is planned as a "visiting performance for youth" in collaboration with the Daejeon Municipal Dance Company. Students of various ages, from kindergarteners to middle schoolers in the district, will be able to closely appreciate the charm and beauty of Korean traditional dance and enjoy the performance in an engaging way.
At the performances on July 17 and 18, the Daejeon Municipal Dance Company will present dances such as Ipchum, Yangban Dance, and Jindo Drum Dance. Students will have a special opportunity to visually enjoy the elegance expressed in the dancers' delicate hand and foot movements and to directly experience the profound appeal of traditional culture.
Woo Changyoung, Director of the Daejeon Lifelong Learning Center, stated, "This performance will be an opportunity for young people to experience performing arts and to consider career paths in the arts," adding, "We hope that many students from various schools will continue to actively participate in future performances."
