It aimed to help participants recover physically and mentally, promote emotional stability, and provide opportunities for mutual interaction. LetsRunPark Busan Gyeongnam prepared a variety of experiences and programs to honor their dedication and sacrifice for the nation.
On the first day, July 10, participants received both theoretical and practical training, including learning how to communicate with horses, basic riding posture, and safety rules. Riding lessons were also held at the outdoor riding arena. Despite the hot weather, participants actively engaged in the training and took part in hands-on activities such as making horseshoe picture frames and creating their own horse plush toys.
On the second day, July 11, participants toured LetsRunPark’s horse industry facilities, including the horse swimming pool, animal hospital, massage station, and pasture. The camp concluded with a live horse race viewing, where participants enjoyed the excitement of watching the racehorses up close.
Eom Youngseok, head of the park, said, "We organized this camp to express our gratitude to those who have served the nation and their families," adding, "We will continue to reach out to the local community and veterans' families through various social contribution activities linked to the horse industry."
LetsRunPark Busan Gyeongnam plans to continue follow-up programs for veterans' families in collaboration with the Veterans Welfare Corporation and the Korea Therapeutic Riding Association in September and October.
