Kim stated, "The heat wave is a disaster that threatens the lives and safety of the people," emphasizing, "Above all, it is important that safety measures and protocols are thoroughly observed on-site." He also said, "The 'five basic heat wave safety rules' for industrial sites are our top priority," and urged, "Please make every effort to ensure there are no blind spots."
The visiting group inspected the "enclosed large cooling zone," which CLS introduced as the industry's first, and checked the internal temperature. The temperature in the enclosed large cooling zone was maintained at 20 degrees Celsius. After touring the site, Democratic Party lawmakers commented, "This is a model case, and we hope Coupang's changes will spread to other companies," and also called for ongoing improvements through social dialogue.
