Gongju City and Chungnam National University Hospital Sign Agreement to Strengthen Public Healthcare Services
Strengthening Medical Referral and Emergency Care Collaboration
Systematic Medical Services Expected for Citizens
On July 16, Gongju City, South Chungcheong Province, signed a business agreement with Chungnam National University Hospital (President Cho Kanghee) at the City Hall's Jiphyeon Room to improve public healthcare services for local residents.
This agreement was established to strengthen the referral system, allowing Gongju citizens to receive specialized care from Chungnam National University Hospital in a more systematic and prompt manner through local medical institutions.
In particular, the emergency medical cooperation system will be significantly reinforced, enabling faster and more effective responses in emergency situations. The collaboration on public health projects is also expected to expand preventive and health-promoting medical services for citizens.
The city plans to seek expert consultation from Chungnam National University Hospital during the process of establishing regional healthcare policies, aiming to implement more effective public health policies.
This is expected to contribute not only to improving the quality of public healthcare but also to enhancing citizen-centered access to medical services.
Based on this agreement, the two organizations will identify detailed cooperative tasks in each field and gradually implement joint projects through regular consultations among working-level staff.
Mayor Choi Woncheol stated, "This agreement has laid the foundation for Gongju citizens to receive more specialized and systematic medical services within the region," adding, "We will continue to enhance the quality of local medical services through close cooperation with Chungnam National University Hospital."
