The Hongseong County Public Health Center in South Chungcheong Province announced on July 16 that it will implement a "Local Agricultural and Specialty Products Support Project" targeting 23 restaurants designated as "Hongseong's Best Restaurants."
This project aims to encourage restaurants recognized for their taste and service, and to contribute to revitalizing the local economy by promoting the consumption of local agricultural and specialty products.
The county health center provided 300kg of organic rice to three establishments and 200kg of Gwangcheon Cave-Aged Salted Shrimp to 20 establishments.
Joo Sunja, Director of Health Administration at the county health center, stated, "Through cuisine based on local agricultural products, we will preserve the unique culture of Hongseong County and provide tourists with a more satisfying culinary experience," adding, "We will continue to implement various projects to improve food culture in the future."
Meanwhile, "Hongseong's Best Restaurants" are selected through a comprehensive evaluation of taste, hygiene management, and implementation of healthy menus, and can be found on the Hongseong County Office website.
