Collective Action Against Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries Relocation to Busan Announced in Sejong City
Large-Scale Resolution Rally Scheduled for 7 p.m. on July 18
As the relocation of the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries to Busan has intensified divisions and conflicts not only between Sejong City but also among the Chungcheong region and Busan, a large-scale resolution rally opposing the relocation is set to take place.
The pan-citizen resolution rally, co-hosted by the Chungcheong Hometown Association and the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries Citizens' Protection Group, will be held at Namugeuneul Square in Naseong-dong, Sejong City, at 7 p.m. on July 18. A representative from the Protection Group stated, "It is expected that the heads of the four cities and provinces in the Chungcheong region, numerous local figures, civic groups, and citizens from the Chungcheong region will participate."
