Siheung City Seeks Candidates for "Citizen Award" Honoring Contributions to Local Development
Recommendations Accepted Until the 31st
Siheung City in Gyeonggi Province is publicly recruiting candidates for the "2025 Siheung Citizen Award" until July 31.
The "Siheung Citizen Award" was established to discover citizens who have contributed to the development of the local community and the promotion of citizen welfare, to enhance the city's honor, and to widely promote warm acts of service for neighbors.
Eligible candidates are individuals or organizations that have worked to improve citizen welfare and develop the local community. As of the announcement date, anyone who has continuously resided in Siheung City for at least three years or who owns a business (including a workplace) in the city, as well as organizations with jurisdiction over the city, can be nominated.
Candidates may be recommended by the head of a department or district office affiliated with the city, or by the head of a related local institution. Recommendations can also be made through a petition signed by at least 20 citizens. Applications can be submitted by visiting the administrative welfare center of the candidate's residential district, by mail (to the Administrative Division of Siheung City Hall), or by email.
The city will conduct an eligibility review, on-site verification, and a public merit review committee before selecting the final three awardees, who will be individually notified in September. The award ceremony will be held during the Citizen's Day celebration in September.
