Starting from July 14, advanced English education is being conducted for five weeks at the Chungnam National University International Language Education Center for students participating in this year's global field study program at vocational high schools. The program is designed to help students acquire practical English skills necessary for their internships abroad and focuses on job-related expressions and on-site English conversation.
According to officials, the curriculum includes real-time lectures by native speakers and hands-on training based on corporate scenarios, with an emphasis on improving students' adaptability in actual workplace settings.
Since May, students have received preliminary English education in four fields: culinary arts, architecture (tile), media content, and major-related services. The 30 students who were ultimately selected will complete 100 hours of advanced English training and a safety (character development) camp before participating in a 10-week field study in Brisbane, Australia, starting in September.
The Australian internship consists of job-specific English education, vocational training, and industry field study for overseas employment, all conducted in Brisbane, Australia. After completing the field study, the Office of Education plans to provide as much support as possible to help students secure employment.
