Sancheong County Governor Lee Seunghwa to Lead Field-Oriented Town and Township Visits in Second Half of Year
"We Will Listen to Residents' Voices Directly on Site"
Sancheong County in South Gyeongsang Province is accelerating efforts to bring more effective and practical administration closer to its residents.
According to Sancheong County on July 15, the county will conduct town and township visits in a new, field-oriented manner from July 23 to July 30.
Previously, Sancheong County held "County Administration Briefings and Dialogues with Residents" twice last year and again in February this year. Marking the third anniversary of the 8th popularly elected administration, this round of town and township visits will move beyond simply collecting civil complaints, with officials visiting sites directly to implement administration that provides tangible benefits to residents.

View original imageThe county plans to visit key sites in each town and township to identify pending projects and gather residents' opinions. In particular, the county aims to discover long-standing local projects and promote future-oriented agricultural initiatives by engaging directly with residents on-site to find solutions.
After identifying key issues, the county plans to implement customized policies that reflect the majority opinion of residents and are tailored to the unique characteristics of each region.
County Governor Lee Seunghwa stated, "This round of town and township visits in the second half of the year is focused on directly identifying policies and projects on-site that can improve the quality of life for residents," adding, "We will continue to develop policies that residents can truly feel and spare no effort to create a happier Sancheong."
