Financial and Economic Snapshot Now Available on Mobile... Bank of Korea Launches Snapshot App
Direct Chart Access via App Push Notifications Upon Release of Major Reports and Statistics
The Bank of Korea announced on July 15 that it has developed a mobile application (app) for its "Financial and Economic Snapshot" service, making it more convenient to use on smartphones.
A Bank of Korea official explained, "We have launched the mobile app on major platforms such as the Apple App Store and Google Play to enhance content accessibility, and have added user-friendly features such as push notifications."
The Financial and Economic Snapshot is a public service that provides over 410 visualized materials related to the financial and foreign exchange markets, as well as the real economy, through web browsers installed on PCs, tablets, and smartphones. The snapshot content covers nine topics: domestic and international financial and foreign exchange markets, the real economy and financial stability, regional and global economies, demographic structure, Korea's economy in the world, major indicators, and more.

A Bank of Korea official stated, "Through the Snapshot mobile app, users can receive push notifications that allow them to go directly to the relevant snapshot chart when major reports and statistics such as economic outlook, financial stability, and national accounts are released." The official added, "We will continue to expand content and develop new features based on user feedback."
