Korean Pavilion Operated for Three Days Starting July 8 with 31 Participating Companies
341 Business Consultations with Global Buyers Including Prada and Diesel
The Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) announced on July 14 that it operated the Korean Pavilion at the "2025 Milano Unica Fall/Winter Textile Exhibition," which was held in Milan, Italy, from July 8 to 10 local time.

View original imageThis year marks the 10th edition of the Korean Pavilion, which began in 2015 with 10 participating companies and expanded to 31 companies this year, more than tripling in size. Milano Unica, along with "Premiere Vision" in Paris, France, is one of the world’s leading textile industry exhibitions. Among Asian countries, only Korea and Japan operate national pavilions at the event.
During this exhibition, buyers from global high-end brands such as Prada, Diesel, Max Mara, and Chervo visited the Korean Pavilion, resulting in active business consultations. A total of 341 consultations were held, amounting to approximately $59 million, and positive feedback on site led to tangible outcomes.
Recently, the global textile market has been shifting toward sustainability, focusing on carbon neutrality, recycling, and bio-based fibers. In response, the Korean government is promoting export support policies that include the advancement of industrial textiles and digital transformation. Within this context, the Milano Unica exhibition has established itself as an important testbed for Korean textile companies to meet global market standards and assess their entry potential.
At this exhibition, KOTRA implemented tailored strategies such as arranging one-on-one meetings with global brands and facilitating buyer matching through local agents. In particular, considering the high entry barriers of the European premium market, KOTRA provided close support at every stage, from consultation preparation to post-meeting follow-up.
This year, the scope of participation was expanded to include the workwear sector, which is experiencing growth in Italy. To enhance participating companies’ understanding of the market, KOTRA held an online briefing session before the exhibition and invited major local buyers such as Sigi Group and Rossini Trading, leading to substantial business consultations. KOTRA plans to further refine its support strategies in line with the evolving market environment.
