View original imageOn Sunday, the 13th, heat wave advisories are in effect for most regions across the country, with extremely hot conditions expected, especially in western areas and inland. Rain is forecast for parts of Jeju and the southern regions.
Morning low temperatures are expected to range from 19 to 25 degrees Celsius, with daytime highs forecast between 28 and 35 degrees Celsius.
By region, the forecasted temperature ranges are as follows: Seoul 25 to 35, Incheon 25 to 33, Suwon 24 to 34, Chuncheon 22 to 34, Gangneung 24 to 32, Cheongju 24 to 34, Daejeon 23 to 34, Sejong 22 to 33, Jeonju 24 to 32, Gwangju 25 to 31, Daegu 22 to 35, Busan 24 to 29, Ulsan 22 to 30, Changwon 24 to 31, and Jeju 25 to 28 degrees Celsius.
In the central regions, skies will be clear but will gradually become cloudy from the morning. In the southern regions, there will be many clouds at times, turning increasingly cloudy from dawn.
Rain is expected in Jeonnam, Gyeongsang, and Jeju Island. The expected precipitation is 10 to 60 mm for Jeju (with some areas exceeding 80 mm), 5 to 50 mm for Gwangju, Jeonnam, Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam, and 5 to 20 mm for southern Jeonbuk.
Fine dust concentrations will remain at a 'good' level nationwide due to smooth atmospheric dispersion.
For the time being, strong winds, thunder, and lightning may occur, especially in the far southern seas off Jeju Island, so maritime safety precautions are advised.

Wave heights are expected to be 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the coastal waters of the East Sea and South Sea, and 0.5 to 1.0 meters in the coastal waters of the West Sea. In the offshore areas (up to about 200 km from the coastline), wave heights are forecast to be 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the East Sea and 0.5 to 2.5 meters in the West Sea and South Sea.
