Busan Urban Corporation Conducts Integrity Survey at Public Housing Construction Sites
Preventing Corruption in Advance Through On-Site Integrity Assessment
Promoting a Culture of Integrity
Busan Urban Corporation (BMC, President Shin Changho) conducted an "On-Site Integrity Perception Survey" from June 23 to June 30, 2025, to assess the level of integrity awareness at public housing construction sites and to preemptively block potential corruption risks.
This survey was carried out at completed sites such as the Happy Housing Complex 1 in front of City Hall and the Eco 18·19·20BL public housing complexes. A total of 63 participants, including supervisors, construction companies, and corporation staff, took part in the survey, which was conducted online via on-site QR codes and text messages.
The questionnaire covered topics such as the level of integrity awareness during work processes, experiences of integrity or corruption at the sites, and suggestions for improving integrity. The results showed that the overall level of integrity awareness was high. In particular, the risk factors for corruption at the sites were found to be low.
Busan Urban Corporation plans to reflect the findings of this survey throughout all stages of future public housing projects, proactively identifying areas vulnerable to integrity issues and actively using the results to enhance transparency and trust in its operations. The corporation also intends to gather feedback from stakeholders such as supervisors and construction companies to help foster a practical, on-site culture of integrity.
