Yeongdeok County Launches 'Conscience Umbrella and Parasol' Rental Service for Civil Service Visitors
Yeongdeok County in North Gyeongsang Province has launched a 'conscience umbrella' rental program for residents using the civil service office, taking into account the recent increase in unpredictable heatwaves and heavy rain due to abnormal climate conditions.
The conscience umbrellas not only serve as regular umbrellas but also function as parasols that block ultraviolet rays, making them useful for avoiding strong sunlight or direct exposure to the sun.

Yeongdeok County is exploring various measures to improve the efficiency of the conscience umbrella rental program, such as automating the rental log and expanding the number of rental locations. The county plans to further expand civil service offerings that are more convenient and accessible for residents.
Kim Kwangyeol, the county governor, stated, "We will continue to identify and implement various measures to improve civil service administration from the perspective of service beneficiaries, so that we can provide happier administration and more attentive civil services for our residents."
