Cho Changhyun Appointed as New CEO of Hyundai Card
"Demonstrated Sales Performance and Risk Management Capabilities"
Hyundai Card has nominated Cho Changhyun, Executive Vice President and Head of Card Sales Division, as its new CEO.
On July 9, Hyundai Card announced that its Executive Officer Candidate Recommendation Committee had convened and recommended Executive Vice President Cho Changhyun as the new CEO candidate.
Born in 1970, Cho joined Hyundai Card in 2004 and has worked in key business areas such as marketing and financial sales. He has recently served as Head of General Purpose Credit Card (GPCC), Head of Private Label Credit Card (PLCC), Head of Finance and Corporate Business Division, and Head of Card Sales Division.
The committee stated, "Cho has accumulated extensive experience and practical expertise by working across all core areas of the card business," and added, "Above all, he has demonstrated outstanding risk management capabilities while achieving sales performance."

Previously, CEO Kim Deokhwan tendered his resignation about eight months before the scheduled end of his term, which was set to run until March next year.
