The final selected couple will receive full support for every stage of the process, including a photo shoot at the ecotourism site, an outdoor ceremony, and a honeymoon based on a tour of the ecotourism destination.
The forest wedding will be a small-scale ceremony that emphasizes an emotional atmosphere and sincere planning within nature, departing from traditional and formal procedures to focus on the "essence of love."
Applications are open until August 1, and eligible participants are engaged couples or elderly couples wishing for a reminder wedding, among residents of Jeonbuk Province. One couple will be selected through a review process. Additional points will be given to applicants from vulnerable groups, those wishing for a reminder wedding, and those active on social media.
The selected couple will hold their wedding between September and October, during the peak autumn foliage season, at either Solti Village or Naejangsan National Park. All wedding-related items, including wedding dresses and attire, gifts provided by the ecotourism council, and the honeymoon, will be supported by Jeonbuk Province. For more details, refer to the announcements on the Jeonbuk Ecotourism Promotion Support Center website.
Han Sunok, Director of the Carbon Neutral Policy Division, stated, "The forest wedding is not just a ceremony, but an opportunity to widely promote the value of Jeonbuk's ecotourism." She added, "We hope many engaged couples will show interest and participate, so they can share this meaningful moment with nature."
