Heavy Rain Advisory Issued for Southwestern Seoul... Heat Wave Warning Remains for Entire City
The Korea Meteorological Administration announced that as of 6:30 p.m. on July 8, a heavy rain advisory would be issued for the southwestern districts of Seoul, including Gangseo-gu.
The areas under the advisory are Gangseo-gu, Gwanak-gu, Yangcheon-gu, Guro-gu, Dongjak-gu, Yeongdeungpo-gu, and Geumcheon-gu (the southwestern region).
A heavy rain advisory is issued when rainfall is expected to reach 60 mm or more in three hours, or 110 mm or more in twelve hours. This amount of rain makes it difficult to stay dry even with an umbrella. Caution is advised regarding accidents such as river flooding.
