Korea Arboretum and Garden Management Corporation Offers Companion Plants by MBTI Type
The Korea Arboretum and Garden Management Corporation announced on July 8 that, starting in April, 16 out of 80 companion plant species categorized by MBTI type have been on display and for sale at the National Garden Culture Center (located in Damyang County, Jeonnam, temporarily opened) Garden Shop.

View original imageThe companion plants available at the Garden Culture Center's Garden Shop include Hong Kong Palm, Monstera, Snow Sapphire, and Rosemary. The plants are organized into four types according to MBTI: four Analyst types, four Diplomat types, four Sentinel types, and four Explorer types.
The 'Analyst plants' are Hong Kong Palm, Olive, Venus Flytrap, and Philodendron Birkin; the 'Diplomat plants' are Monstera, Scindapsus, Spathiphyllum, and Rosemary; the 'Sentinel plants' are Rose Herb, Dracaena Matafia, and Sinhollypepe; and the 'Explorer plants' are Kalanchoe, Eucalyptus, Snow Sapphire, and Alocasia.
Based on research using representative national samples, Spoon Ivy, a plant recommended for the ISTJ type?which was found to be the most prevalent MBTI type among Koreans?can also be found at the Garden Shop.
According to the corporation, those with the free-spirited and energetic ENFP personality type may enjoy growing customized companion plants such as Monstera, which features vibrant colors and unique patterns.
This project was designed to enhance psychological affinity with plants.
