A total of 31 students received pins during the ceremony. Through the official recitation of the oath, they took their first steps as prospective dental hygienists. The highlight of the event was a surprise video letter from parents, prepared by the faculty. As the students, who were nervous ahead of their first clinical practice, watched the messages from their families, many were moved to tears and found comfort and encouragement.
Kim Yoorin, head of the Department of Dental Hygiene, said, "I hope this oath ceremony provided students with an opportunity to reaffirm their commitment to dedication and service as healthcare professionals," and added, "We will continue to offer various programs to nurture oral health experts who possess clinical skills, professionalism, and ethical awareness."
The Department of Dental Hygiene at Silla University is strengthening its distinctive educational curriculum in line with the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, including AI-based oral health management programs and practical training linked to community oral health campaigns.
